Keep It Green and Coronavirus

Reassurance for our garden maintenance and commercial grounds maintenance customers in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Dear Customer

I want to personally reassure you that the whole team at Keep It Green Garden Maintenance have your welfare at the very forefront of our minds.

This coronavirus is a worry, and at the time of writing, the government is urging everyone to take precautions. It’s vital that everyone looks after themselves and thinks of others in all that they do. That’s why Chris and the KIG team have put some protective measures in place.

Rest assured, we are intending to keep working – after all, Coronavirus won’t stop the grass or the weeds growing.  However, we’re asking our customers to be patient and help us out with some simple and painless changes.

Avoiding contact with each other

There’s nothing we enjoy more than a brief chat with customers at the beginning and end of the day – and at break times too. However, we all need to be a bit more careful so, please don’t be offended if there are no handshakes for a while.

Working outside makes it easier to keep a distance of at least 2 metres between you and us.

As the virus lives on surfaces like door handles and mugs, we’re politely (but reluctantly) refusing offers of hot drinks and snacks.

We’re also asking everyone to pay by bank transfer rather than handling cash.

Keeping surfaces clean

Our team are going to be carrying hand sanitisers and using them regularly during the day.

Handles etc on tools and equipment will all be cleaned with hospital grade antibacterial wipes after use. As will phones, van cockpits etc.

Keeping you (and us!) safe

Landscapers and gardeners are generally quite a robust group and our team are all in good health. However, if any of us show the slightest symptoms of coronavirus, we’ll be off the tools and straight into isolation.

If any of the team do contract the virus and have been working with you in the fortnight leading up to falling ill, we’ll let you know so that you can take action if needs be.

We’re respectively requesting that if you feel unwell, you let us know. That way the team can decide what (if any) extra precautions we need to take.

Help for our Customers

Customers and community are at the heart of our company ethos. If you are self-isolating and need help with grocery shopping, animal care or collecting prescriptions, we will do everything in our power to help. Never be afraid to ask.

Stay well everyone

Chris and the Team.
